Brandy - Two Eleven (Deluxe) (2012)

Two Eleven is the sixth studio album by American recording artist Brandy Norwood. Released on October 12, 2012, Two Eleven serves as the singer's debut release with Chameleon Entertainment and RCA Records after departing from Epic Records soon after releasing her previous album Human (2008). The album's title is taken from Norwood's birthday; it is also the day on which her idol and friend, entertainer Whitney Houston died.

Two Eleven is the first album from Norwood to include a diverse roster of collaborators including songwriting credits from Frank Ocean, Chris Brown and Sean Garrett. Production comes courtesy of the likes of Bangladesh and Rico Love, amongst others. The first single, "Put It Down", features Chris Brown and was released from May 4, 2012. It peaked in the top-five of the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, becoming Norrwood's tenth top 10 single on the chart and her first in a decade. "Wildest Dreams" was released as the second and final single on August 28, 2012.

Brandy - Human (2008)

Human is the fifth studio album by American recording artist Brandy, first released in France in December 2008 and by March 2009 in most international music markets. Distributed by Koch Records and Sony Music, the album marked Norwood's debut on the Epic Records label, following her split with Atlantic Records in 2005, and her reunion with long-time contributor and mentor Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins, who wrote and executive produced most of the album with his songwriting collective.

In mid-2009 during the recording sessions for Norwood's second album with Epic Records, Brandy ended her management contract with Roc Nation. This was followed by the termination of her contract with Epic, after singer-songwriter Amanda Ghost was appointed the new president of the label. Disappointed by its performance, Norwood later expressed her dislike of the album itself.

Brandy - Afrodisiac (2004)

Afrodisiac is the fourth studio album by American recording artist Brandy, released on June 28, 2004 by Atlantic Records. The album was recorded primarily in Los Angeles between spring 2003 and early 2004, following several major changes in Brandy's personal and professional life. After giving birth to her daughter and the demise of her relationship with the father, Brandy's team was given an overhaul, including changes in production, management, and A&R. The album marked a departure from her previous work, with Brandy collaborating with producer Timbaland and songwriter Candice Nelson, on the majority of the album's composition.

Upon release, the critical response to Afrodisiac was highly positive, eventually garnering critical acclaim for its mature lyrics, Brandy's vocalizing, and its overall experimental sound.[1] The album has been named as one of a predecessors to PBR&B and alternative R&B, having been cited to influence artists, such as Rihanna and Solange. Afrodisiac was nominated for several awards including nominations at the 2004 MTV Video Music Awards and the 47th Annual Grammy Awards.[2] The album debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200, eventually earning a gold certification by the RIAA.[3] Internationally, Afrodisiac scored minor success, appearing on the top 40 album charts in the UK, Canada, and Japan. The album spawned three singles — "Talk About Our Love", "Who Is She 2 U" and "Afrodisiac".

Brandy - Full Moon (2002)

Full Moon is the third studio album by American singer Brandy. It was released by Atlantic Records on February 19, 2002. The album was recorded primarily during the summer and fall of 2001 at The Hit Factory in Miami, amid a three-year musical hiatus following the success of her multi-platinum previous studio album Never Say Never (1998) and the finale of her highly successful television sitcom Moesha in May 2001. As with Never Say Never, Brandy collaborated with producer Rodney Jerkins and his Darkchild production and songwriting team on the majority of the album's composition, while additional work from Mike City, Warryn Campbell, and Keith Crouch was contributed.

Brandy credited Whitney Houston, Kim Burrell and Enya for inspiring her to push the limits of her voice and vocal arrangements. With Brandy in a relationship with one of the album's primary musicians, its lyrical concepts centered on both sensual and frustrated feelings toward a lover. Jerkins credited Michael Jackson, Brandy's voice, and his experiences at European nightclubs for influencing the sound of the album. Lyrically, the album speaks on love in all its forms.[1] Musically, Full Moon drew inspiration from UK garage, electro, dance, glitch, and funktronica, while blending soul and R&B elements into adult contemporary ballads.

Brandy - Brandy (1994)

Brandy is the self-titled debut album by American R&B singer Brandy. It was released by Atlantic Records on September 27, 1994 in North America, December 5 in the United Kingdom and on several dates in Europe and Oceania, starting on February 3, 1995. The album contains a range of contemporary genres, and the songs are a mix of soft hip hop soul, pop and contemporary mid–1990s R&B. They were chiefly produced by Keith Crouch who would contribute all four single releases from the album. Aside from Crouch, Norwood worked with a range of other writers and producers, including R&B group Somethin' for the People, Arvel McClinton, and Damon Thomas and young Robin Thicke.

Four singles were released from the album, two of which became number-one hits on the Billboard Hot R&B Singles. "I Wanna Be Down" was chosen as the album's lead single, reaching the top ten in the United States and the top 20 in Australia and New Zealand. The song was critically lauded, and was regarded as a standout track on Brandy. The album's second single, "Baby" was also well received and charted even higher. With the following two singles, "Best Friend" and "Brokenhearted" also reaching the top ten in the US, Norwood established herself as one of the most successful of the new breed of urban R&B female vocalists to emerge during the mid-to late 1990s. It also garnered Norwood two Grammy Award nominations for Best New Artist and one for the album's second single, "Baby" for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance at the 38th Grammy Awards in 1996.
