Jessica Simpson - Happy Christmas (2010)


      Happy Christmas is the seventh studio album and second Christmas album by American recording artist Jessica Simpson, released on November 22, 2010 by Primary Wave. Produced by Kuk Harrell, Aaron Pearce, C. "Tricky" Stewart and The-Dream, it is her first album released by Primary Wave and features cover versions of various Christmas standards in addition to original material.

      "My Only Wish" was released as promotional single. It premiered at On Air with Ryan Seacrest and the Simpson website jessicasimpson.com, the November 11, 2010. The song was written by Aaron Pearce, Jessica Simpson and Christopher Stewart. "My Only Wish" is a love song, a good rhythm Christmas, featuring pop music and traditional rhythms, drum notes, and hard knocks and grooves. Background vocals are present throughout the chorus. The song received mixed reviews by critics, it has been compared to All I Want for Christmas is You by Mariah Carey. The song managed to position the Top 50 most downloaded Christmas songs of iTunes in the United States. The week of release the album, the song could be downloaded for free from iTunes. The single did not have a music video.

Jessica Simpson - Do You Know (2008)


      Do You Know is the sixth studio album by American singer Jessica Simpson. The album was released on September 9, 2008,[1] in the United States by a joint-venture between Columbia Nashville and Epic Records. The album is her first effort in an attempt to cross over to country music. Songwriter Brett James produced the album along with John Shanks. The album debuted at #1 in the Billboard Country Charts and at #4 in the Billboard 200 with sales of 65,000.

Her debut country single, "Come on Over" was sent to radio on May 27, 2008. It was received with positive reviews. The single debuted at #41, a record high for a first charting song by a solo artist on the Hot Country Songs chart, and peaking at #18. The single was released to digital downloads on June 24, 2008, along with the physical release in July 2008.

The second single, "Remember That", was released in October, and peaked at #42 on the Hot Country Songs chart.[30] As the date, "Remember That" has sold 207,000 paid digital downloads according to Nielsen Soundscan

Jessica Simpson - A Public Affair (2006)



      A Public Affair is the fifth studio album by American pop singer Jessica Simpson. The album was released on August 26, 2006 in the United States by Epic Records.

      Three singles were released from the record, the lead single, "A Public Affair" was the album's most successful single, became Simpson's sixth top-twenty single in the US and her third song to reach number 14 tied with "With You" (2004) and "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'" (2005).[5] The next single, "I Belong to Me", failed to chart on the Billboard Hot 100.[6] The third single "You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)" was released as a promo single. Her version of the song barely made the Pop 100, and failed to make the Billboard Hot 100 chart, however, it charted to no. 20 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100, which is equivalent to no. 120. Simpson's version has new lyrics and only preserves the chorus of the song

Jessica Simpson - ReJoyce: The Christmas Album (2004)


      ReJoyce: The Christmas Album is the fourth studio album by American pop singer Jessica Simpson. Released by Columbia Records on November 23, 2004. The album features cover versions of popular Christmas songs, it includes a duet with her sister, Ashlee Simpson, on the song "Little Drummer Boy". Additionally, it also includes a duet with Nick Lachey, Simpson's husband at the time, on "Baby, It's Cold Outside". The cover of Amy Grant's "Breath of Heaven (Mary's Song)" is notable, as Simpson has said that Amy Grant is one of her favorite recording artists and her role model.[3] Its singles are "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow" and "What Christmas Means To Me" (although no accompanying video was produced); the song "O Holy Night" has a video.

Jessica Simpson - In This Skin (2003)


      In This Skin is the third studio album by American recording artist Jessica Simpson. The album was released in 2003 by Columbia Records. It was re-released in March 2004 with three new songs. The album was a huge success in North America, reaching number 2 in the United States and being certified triple platinum.[1] In This Skin went on to become the 35th best selling album of 2004 in the US, and has sold over 7 million copies worldwide.[2] The album was ranked number 153 on the list of the top-selling albums of the 2000s by Billboard magazine.

      "Sweetest Sin" was released as the lead single from In This Skin. The music video, directed by Dean Paraskavopoulos,[24] starts with black-and-white shots of Simpson dancing and looking at viewers. It cuts to Simpson swaying on a beach, and embracing Nick Lachey underneath a waterfall on the beach. Further scenes are presented, such as one in which Simpson lies on a bed by herself. The video continues with intercut footage of the previous scenes, until the final seconds of the song, when Simpson is joined by her husband, in which they move on their bed on the beach. The video ends when Lachey disappears, leaving the singer alone. "With You" was released as the album's second single on September 16, 2003. The song received positive reviews from critics. Enjoyed more success, reaching at top ten on Australia and UK and top-twenty on Ireland, Norway and United States. The single was her first number one in Top 40 Mainstream chart. Later was certified Gold in US and Platinum on Australia. The video of the song was released as a DVD single. Simpson received one and only MTV Europe Music Award nomination for Best Female, enjoying her commercial success outside America. It received two MTV Video Music Award nominations for Best Female Video and Best Pop Video.

Jessica Simpson - Irresistible (2001)


       Irresistible is the second studio album by American recording artist Jessica Simpson, released on May 25, 2001, through Columbia Records. Simpson, who began working on the project in July 2000, contacted already established writers and producers to collaborate on the project, including Cory Rooney, Rodney Jerkins, and Walter Afanasieff. In contrast to her debut album Sweet Kisses (1999), which included more ballads, Irresistible explored hip hop and R&B genres of music.

      Two singles were released from Irresistible. The title track, the album's lead single, reached the top twenty in charts of eleven countries, including number eleven on the UK Singles Chart, and at number fifteen on the United States' Billboard Hot 100. It was followed by "A Little Bit", which did not chart in the US, but reached a peak position of number sixty-two in Australia. In 2001, she also embarked on her first headlining tour, titled the DreamChaser Tour, to promote the album.

      Sweet Kisses is the debut studio album by American pop singer Jessica Simpson. The album was released on November 23, 1999 in the United States by Columbia Records.

      The album also spawned three singles, including her debut single "I Wanna Love You Forever", which has become Simpsons biggest hit to date in the United States. The album also includes the "Jack and Diane" sampled dance track "I Think I'm in Love With You". Also included were two duets. The song "Where You Are" with future ex-husband Nick Lachey of 98 Degrees, was released as the album's second official single, while "Woman in Me," featuring Destiny's Child, was not released as a single, but received a generally positive reception.
