Folklore (stylized in all lowercase) is the eighth studio album by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. It was released on July 24, 2020, through Republic Records, eleven months after Swift's seventh studio album, Lover (2019). The album was created in isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic, with production from Aaron Dessner, Jack Antonoff and Swift herself. It is a surprise album, announced on social media hours before its release. Departing from the mainstream pop sound of Swift's previous releases, Folklore is an indie folk, alternative rock, electro-folk and chamber pop album driven by pianos and guitars. Lyrically, it incorporates vivid storytelling that details third-person narratives.
"Cardigan" was released as the first single along with the album. Folklore received widespread critical acclaim upon release and was named by many as the best album in Swift's discography, with praise directed towards the album's relaxed and unconventional sound, and the fictional lyrical themes.

The Day You Went Away: The Best of M2M is the last album and greatest hits compilation by Norwegian teen-pop duo M2M. It was released in 2003 after M2M disbanded in 2002.
The compilation includes all of their singles from their two studio albums Shades of Purple and The Big Room, as well as acoustic versions of some other songs. It also contains a Mandarin Chinese version of their hit "Pretty Boy" and a Spanish version of "Everything You Do". "Everything" is also shortened without the faded out ending and "Everything You Do" was completely re-recorded with new vocals. It also has three new songs, "Not to Me", "Is You", and "Wait for Me". A second disc is included with the album, which contains music videos and a featurette, as well as footage girls in Bangkok and Norway.
Marisa Brown from AllMusic gave the album four out of five stars, concluding "It's way more M2M than is necessary, but it certainly does the job of giving the best of them." The liner notes include lyrics to the songs; however, there is a mistake in the lyrics for "Don't Say You Love Me", as the notes contain the lyrics from the version of the song that appeared on Pokémon: The First Movie, whereas the album includes the version that appeared on Shades of Purple.

A Little More Personal (Raw) is the second studio album by American singer and actress Lindsay Lohan, released on December 5, 2005 by Casablanca Records. Initially titled There's Only One Angel In Heaven, the album, produced by Kara DioGuardi, Greg Wells, Ben Moody and Butch Walker, features darker material than Lohan's previous album, Speak (2004). Recording sessions took place in several locations, including at Lohan's trailer during the shoot of Herbie: Fully Loaded, where she recorded the first and only single of the album, "Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father)".
A Little More Personal (Raw) received mixed reviews from music critics, who praised Lohan's ambition, despite considering it a weak album. The album charted mildly compared to Speak, debuting (and also peaking) at number twenty on United States' Billboard 200 with first week sales of 82,000 copies,[1] and also peaking at the same position on the Digital Albums chart. However, A Little More Personal (Raw) was certified Gold in the United States by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for sales of over 500,000 copies.[2] It was also certified Gold in Taiwan.[3] Lohan promoted the album with a few television appearances, including at MTV's Total Request Live, The Ellen DeGeneres Show and the 2005 American Music Awards.

Speak is the debut studio album by American actress and singer-songwriter Lindsay Lohan. It was released in the United States on December 7, 2004 by Casablanca Records. The album was the first high-seller from Casablanca Records in several years, selling 1,000,000 units in the United States.
The album received mainly negative reviews, with critics commenting that Lohan "isn't a bad singer, but not an extraordinary singer either." In the United States the album peaked at number four on the Billboard 200, selling 261,762 copies in its first week. In Germany the album debuted at the #53 position and took four weeks to complete its chart run.
The first two singles from Speak, "Rumors" and "Over", were both successes, with "Over" topping the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles where it stayed for three weeks. The song also did well internationally in countries such as Australia, Ireland, and the United Kingdom. "Rumors" peaked at #6 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart and also did well in Australia and Germany, where it reached #14. The music video for "Rumors" was nominated for "Best Pop Video" at the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards. Both songs received heavy airplay on MTV's Total Request Live. The final single, "First", was released to help promote Lohan's film, Herbie: Fully Loaded. The song earned small success in Australia and Germany. Lohan promoted the album by performing the songs in a number of live appearances. Plans for a tour in Taiwan were planned, but were later scrapped.

Dangerous Woman is the third studio album by American singer Ariana Grande, released by Republic Records on May 20, 2016.[1] The album features guest appearances from Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Macy Gray and Future. Dangerous Woman is primarily a pop and R&B record, with influences of dance-pop, disco, house, trap, and reggae genres. Grande, Max Martin, and Savan Kotecha were the album's executive producers. The album was originally called Moonlight after the opening track on the album, with the song "Focus", released as a single in 2015, being the intended lead single. However, the album's name was later changed to Dangerous Woman, with "Focus" being removed from the album's standard track listing, though it remained as a bonus track on the Japanese deluxe edition of the album.
Dangerous Woman debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200, selling 175,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. It was Grande's first album to not reach number one in the US. However, it became her first number one album in the UK. It also reached number one in Australia, Brazil, Italy, Ireland, New Zealand and Spain. In October 2016, Dangerous Woman was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). "Dangerous Woman", was released on March 11, 2016 and peaked at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100. The following singles, "Into You", "Side to Side" and "Everyday", peaked at numbers 13, 4 and 55 on the Hot 100, respectively.
Dangerous Woman received positive reviews from critics, appearing on the year-end lists of several publications. It received a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album. To promote the album, Grande embarked on a worldwide concert tour entitled the Dangerous Woman Tour, starting on February 3, 2017 and ending on September 21, 2017.

Yours Truly is the debut studio album by American singer Ariana Grande. It was released on September 3, 2013, by Republic Records. Incorporating R&B, Yours Truly was influenced by the music of Whitney Houston, Amy Winehouse, Christina Aguilera and Mariah Carey, amongst Grande's other idols. Grande describes the album's first half as a "throwback" to the R&B music of the 1990s, and the second half being "very unique and very special that I've sort of written". Grande herself co-wrote six out of the twelve album tracks. Harmony Samuels, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, Patrick "J. Que" Smith and Grande's Victorious co-star Leon Thomas III, as well as others, handled the album's music production.
Grande recorded the songs on the album over a three-year period. Featured collaborators include Big Sean, Mika and Mac Miller, in addition to The Wanted's Nathan Sykes, who features on the song "Almost Is Never Enough", which was also included on The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones soundtrack (2013). Occasionally, the album dips into other genres such as adult contemporary music and dance music. Yours Truly debuted atop the US Billboard 200 albums chart, selling 138,000 copies in its opening week; it was eventually certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and has sold 596,000 copies in the United States as of April 2018. Internationally, Yours Truly reached top-ten positions in the album charts of Australia, Canada, Denmark, Ireland, Japan, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
Yours Truly was promoted with live renditions of the album's songs during The Listening Sessions tour (2013). The album was preceded by the release of the lead single "The Way", featuring American rapper Mac Miller, on March 25, 2013. It became a top-ten hit on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, peaking at number nine. The second single, "Baby I", was released on July 22, 2013, and peaked just outside the top-twenty of the Billboard Hot 100 at number twenty-one. The third and final single, "Right There", featuring Big Sean, was released on August 6, 2013, and peaked at number eighty-four on the Hot 100.

My Everything is the second studio album by American singer Ariana Grande, released on August 25, 2014 by Republic Records. Grande wanted My Everything to sound as "an evolution" from her debut album, Yours Truly (2013); it explores more mature themes and music genres. In the album's production, Grande worked with a host of producers and co-writers – including Max Martin, Shellback, Benny Blanco, Ryan Tedder, Darkchild, Ilya Salmanzadeh, Zedd, and David Guetta, to name a few. Upon its release, the album debuted atop the Billboard 200 albums chart in the United States, selling 169,000 copies in its first week there. It debuted at number one in Australia and Canada as well, and peaked in the top ten of twenty countries worldwide. As of April 2018, the album has sold 735,000 copies in the United States alone.
My Everything was preceded by the lead single "Problem", which features Australian rapper Iggy Azalea. After its release on April 28, 2014, the single debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in the US at number three the week ending May 17, selling over 400,000 copies in its first week and eventually peaking at number two. "Break Free", featuring German-Russian musician and producer Zedd, was released as the second single on July 2, and peaked at number four on the Hot 100. The fourth single, "Love Me Harder", with Canadian recording artist The Weeknd, was released on September 30, 2014 and eventually peaked at number seven in the US, while final single "One Last Time" reached number thirteen. At the 57th Annual Grammy Awards in 2015, My Everything was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album
